The Mandala Painting Workshop
January 19-20, 2024 | San Diego, CA
In-Person and Online with Paul and Angie Chek
A mandala (Sanskrit: मण्डल, romanized: maṇḍala, lit. ‘circle’, [ˈmɐɳɖɐlɐ]) is a geometric configuration of symbols. In various spiritual traditions, mandalas may be employed for focusing attention of practitioners and adepts, as a spiritual guidance tool, for establishing a sacred space and as an aid to meditation and trance induction. From Wikipedia.
In this annual mandala painting workshop, Paul and Angie Chek will teach you how to paint a mandala by tapping into your inner spirit. Using soul guidance, you can express what your soul wants you to know “now” about your life so you can manifest and live your life fully.
You will also learn how to keep your mandala practice alive as part of your spiritual rituals so you can allow your soul to guide you through symbol, color, and form. You will learn to use mandala creation as a means of accessing your unconscious mind and its exquisite powers to create and heal.
Mandala creation is also an excellent tool for unveiling one’s shadow so limitations from past lives, family (DNA) inheritance, traumas and the negative residues of daily life can be used as transformative, consciousness elevating catalysts. Additionally, and importantly, mandala therapy is a very good means for accessing and regaining connection with our inner child.
Once your mandala is created, Paul and Angie will offer each student an art therapy assessment and reading to help them see and understand the messages each participant’s soul has embedded in their mandala art.
The beautiful thing about art as a means of healing is that the ego cannot block the messages from the soul when expressed artistically.
For the first time we are offering this workshop online or virtually, as well as live. The live workshop is being held on 14 beautiful acres in Rainbow, CA. Come and experience the serenity and peace of Rainbow Hills, while creating your 2024 mandala. You can participate in the online workshop from the comfort and convenience of your own home, while still participating and interacting with those who are on-site in California.
Spaces are strictly limited for this two-day event. Register now to avoid disappointment!
More About The Mandala Painting Workshop
Mandala creation has been an integral part of healing and spiritual growth for many thousands of years among indigenous cultures and within various world religions. Paul was inspired to study art therapy systems, theory and practices extensively, which led to the creation of his own art therapy system that has been integral in his coaching, therapy and healing practices with students and clients from around the world.

Live
The live participants will receive a painting kit to take home with them, as well as tools to use to create their mandala while they are on-site. Lunch, snacks and beverages will be provided both days. The assessment of each person’s mandala takes place in a group format, so everyone can see and experience the art analysis, including the online participants.
Online / Virtual
The online participants will need to provide their own painting supplies, and a detailed list will be provided upon registration. Online participants will be able to personally connect with Paul and Angie over the course of the two days, so get feedback while they are painting their mandala as well as an assessment of it once it is completed. Those who are on different time zones will be invited to share their mandala earlier in the day, so they do not have to wait up past midnight for their art to be assessed!
Please note that Day 2 may run later than 6:30pm, depending how long it takes to analyze each person’s mandala.

We are also offering a Multi-Day Pass. This is the opportunity to get one day of workshop free when you purchase 5 days. You can use these 6 days in any way you like – 6 x one day workshops or Zen in the Garden, 3 x two day workshops or a combination of one-day and two-day workshops.

Online Attendees
For those attending online, we recommend participating fully with the workshop as it is being held in California. We realize that this may mean starting very early for you, or staying up late at night. But you will get the most from the workshop by attending in real time. We will be recording each section – morning and afternoon – of the workshop and will make these videos available to online participants as soon as they can be uploaded, so you can catch up and watch the parts you missed. Much of day 1 will involve painting, so if you are in Europe, you can watch the introduction with Paul where he explains the process of painting a mandala, then go to bed and paint your mandala next day before day 2 of the workshop starts! Day 2 involves the assessment of each person’s mandala, so we recommend being fully engaged and present for that.
