October 2015

Each student will receive their first correspondence course Advanced Program Design (Manual + 7
DVDs).

Advanced Program Design: Learn to design the world’s most effective corrective and performance exercise programs in this empowering course. Based upon Paul’s two-day seminar, Advanced Program Design will stretch your mind to reach beyond the usual components that make up an average program. You will learn to build base and specific conditioning programs for everyone from the injured worker to elite athletes. This course is intended for the experienced exercise and rehabilitation professional with a serious desire to develop the best possible conditioning programs.

Meet Your Mentor: Students will also be assigned to their personal CHEK Mentor and have an introductory one-hour call with them. The student and mentor will have a one-hour call on a monthly basis. The mentor’s role is to support the student throughout the year, guiding them through the learning material and helping them to achieve learning milestones comfortably.

November 2015

Each student will receive Equal But Not the Same! (Manual + 7DVDs) and the DVD Flatten Your Abs Forever.

Equal But Not the Same!: Paul presents his scientifically founded approach to training females. Based upon current research and years of clinical experience treating orthopedic disorders in women, this seminar is sure to provide a paradigm shift for the exercise professional. This course will provide cutting edge information sure to improve your success with female clients.

Flatten Your Abs Forever: In this lecture, Paul Chek explains the common problems and issues that must be addressed in order to reach the goal of flat abs, including ineffective exercise programming, poor nutritional habits, hormonal imbalances, gynecological and gastro-intestinal disorders and more.

DAY 1: Advanced Program Design
On this highly important weekend we review the entire CHEK System of Exercise Prescription through
case histories and refreshers of the finally tuned CHEK system of assessment and exercise Prescription
based upon the scientific workings of the body and art of cultivating your own unique skill of designing
strong unique programs.

DAY 2: Working with Female Clients
We look at common dysfunctions with female clients and go through practical skills and exercise to help
the female client whether they are a pensioner or professional athlete or both! We also look at areas such
as working with special populations for example Pre/Post Natal clients.

February 2016

Advanced Training Program – CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach Level 2

The CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coaching Level 2 is a 5-day course that builds upon the foundational principles covered in HLC 1 and finely hones your skills as a coach teaching. You will learn Paul Chek’s 4 Doctors Coaching System of Wellbeing – a system that expands on his eBook and builds it out into a powerful system of assessments and coaching principles. You will be also learn to fully understand and apply the the client archetype model, providing you with insights into why clients make the choices that they do, and how those choices add to or detract from their health.

Webinar Workshop #2 – CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach Level 2

Day 1: “How to / Putting It All Together”: HLC2 is a very important step in becoming a TRUE Holistic Health Practitioner. It enables you to work at a much deeper level with clients than level1. This workshop focuses on the structure you must adopt in order to gain results with your clients, and ensure all systems are followed.

Day 2: “How to Give a Successful Group Presentation”: All students are given an HLC1 presentation that they can adapt to their own business.

Students will also receive PPS Success Program Lesson 1: Determining Your Legacy which includes 11 multi-media
slideshows, 4 PDF manual chapters, 1 PDF Self-Assessment, 1 PDF Umbrella of Purpose form and 60-day access to
PPS Coaching Calls and Coaching Call recordings.

very special 2-day essentials workshop has been added to the year 2 Academy to jump-start these skills.

Advanced Training Program – C.H.E.K Practitioner Level 1

C.H.E.K Practitioner Level 1 expands the CHEK Exercise Coach’s knowledge of exercise and its scientific, therapeutic, and performance applications. Students learn infant development assessment as a means of identifying the physical, emotional and mental etiology of movement inefficiency. Paul Chek’s Primal Pattern® system of movement analysis is taught in C.H.E.K Practitioner Level 1 as a seamless progression from infant development. The C.H.E.K Practitioner Level 1 student learns to identify which Primal Pattern® movements are essential to each individual’s work, home, recreational, and/or sporting environment. Using a variety of exercise modalities, the C.H.E.K Practitioner Level 1 is able to customize any exercise to suit each client’s ability and skill level. All instruction is based on an integrated holistic model for assessing movement disorder and restoring functional movement. C.H.E.K Practitioner Level 1’s learn how to identify which systems of the body must be balanced to create well-being as part of a skillfully designed exercise program.

JULY 2016

Case Study: Each student in this month will complete TWO case studies. Each case study should include results of a full C.H.E.K Practitioner Level 1 assessment and client programs
following assessment including periodization.

Live Workshop – C.H.E.K Practitioner Level 1 Review

One of the reasons these Academy workshops are so important for each student’s development is simply because all
of our programs are advanced. Because of this, we like to ensure each one of our students not only truly understands
the information delivered on each program BUT can apply it expertly!

On this 2-day workshop we run through some of the more challenging of assessments from C.H.E.K Practitioner
Level 1 and we show the students how to use the assessments efficiently and prescribe the exercises effectively.

Exam Deadline: C.H.E.K Practitioner Level 1 Exam to be completed by August 31, 2016.

September 2016

Case Study Preparation

To maximize your learning, all must students to prepare a case study using the tools learned on the CHEK Holistic
Lifestyle Coach Level 2 and C.H.E.K Practitioner Level 1.

Each Case study is to include an overview of the client including where they started in regards to physiological load etc., what the practitioner has done, what progress has happened, what problems have they faced. The case study should include where the client is at in relation to the 6 foundational principles, the 1234 format and the Chakras.

CHEK Academy FAQ

Q: Do I pay extra to become part of The CHEK Academy?
A: No. All the correspondence courses and live advanced training programs are heavily discounted off the regular price.

Q: Is there an upfront fee I need to pay to join?
A: Yes. We have a variety of payment options for you to choose from and those options vary depending upon your year in The CHEK Academy and your location (US/Canada vs. The South Pacific). Please refer to the application form for specific plans.

Q: Can I complete all my training in the first few months and pay it off over a year?
A: No. We have timed the availability of all training materials to maximize their absorption and implementation in your practice. Additionally, you must be up-to-date on payments prior to attending live CHEK Workshops and Training Courses.

Q: I am already a C.H.E.K Practitioner level 1 and HLC level 1 and have purchased many of the Pre-Requisite courses for other levels- do I need to re-sit these courses and pay again?
A: No, you only need to purchase advanced training courses and correspondence courses you have not already purchased, however you must hold current CHEK Status. Your current CHEK qualification will determine your year in The CHEK Academy. For the 2015/16 year we are only offering years 1, 2 and 3.

Q: I already hold other medical, non-C.H.E.K Institute qualifications. Can I join The CHEK Academy at a higher year?
A: No regardless of your current non C.H.E.K qualification – all students must complete each year, before progressing to the next.

Q: There are a few of my friends who are interested in joining The CHEK Academy. Is there a discount if more than 1 person applies for The CHEK Academy?
A: No, all applicants are assessed individually before being accepted onto the Academy. There are no further discounts available.

Q: Can I complete the courses in Europe as part of The CHEK Academy?
A: No, all courses must be completed with CHEK USA or Australia only. The courses are not covered by CHEK Europe or any other of our International Affiliates.

Q: If I get accepted onto The CHEK Academy, but find I cannot attend one of the workshop weekends, do I get a refund for that workshop.
A: No. You will be required to attend the workshop at a later date.

Q: What if I join The CHEK Academy and cannot attend a live advanced Training course?
A: You must accept all course dates before being accepted into The CHEK Academy. If you are ill or experience a family emergency, we may allow you to transfer to a later course, but only up to 45 days of the course start date free of charge. This is a ONCE ONLY opportunity in your entire time within The CHEK Academy.

Q: Can I pay up front for all years of The CHEK Academy and get a further discount?
A: No, you may only apply for 1 year. Payment in advance is accepted but no further discounts apply.

Q: On completion of year 5, do I automatically become part of the C.H.E.K Institute Faculty?
A: No, all applicants for Team CHEK or C.H.E.K Faculty must apply formally directly to C.H.E.K Institute.

Q: What if for some reason I need to leave The CHEK Academy midterm?
A: You will pay a termination fee, which will cover all the training you have received up to that point, without the Academy discounts. The maximum you will pay in the termination fee is the difference between attending the courses with the academy and completing the courses separately, without discounts.

Q: What if I cannot afford to pay 1 month’s fee on the Academy? Can I pay double next month?
A: No, your academy training will be put on hold. If this continues you will be sent a termination invoice and will be dismissed from The CHEK Academy.

Q: Is the accommodation provided at each workshop and course?
A: No, you will be given a recommended list of places to stay, but the accommodation, food and travel expenses are not covered by your academy fees.

Q: Will I have regular 1-on-1 coaching with my CHEK mentor?
A: Yes, you will have a monthly scheduled call with your Mentor lasting 1 hour each month; additional coaching with your mentor is available directly with your mentor for a discounted fee.
