Year three is designed for students who have completed the CHEK Practitioner Level 1 and Holistic Lifestyle Coach Level 2 Advanced Training Programs. In the third year of the CHEK Academy every individuals will complete CHEK Practitioner Level 2 and the CHEK 4 Quadrant Mastery Coaching Program.

October 2019 – You will receive login details to the CHEK Academy Portal and receive access to your first online workshop, Marketing & Social Media Campaigns.
Marketing & Social Media Campaigns Online Workshop
This workshop is in three parts after viewing each part you will be given an assignment which moves your business forward. Once completed the assignments are to be submitted to the CHEK Academy Coordinator so they can be reviewed by one of our business mentors and personalised feedback given to each student.
A 90min Q&A call on Marketing & Social Media Campaigns Online Workshop will be scheduled for November 2019; students need to complete online workshop before attending.
November 2019 – Students will be issued the online workshop Holistic Health and Performance for Women
December 2019 – Students will be issued the online workshop Heavy Breathing. Students will also be given access to Dynamic Medicine Ball Training (Manual + 7 DVD’s) via the e-learning platform.
Medicine Balls can be used for a wide range of purposes from rehabilitation to explosive training or endurance training. Due to the dynamic capabilities of Medicine Ball Training, there is a high functional carry over into athletic performance and every day life. Paul Chek’s course teaches the science and application of medicine balls including program design for optimal performance, including criteria for choosing repetitions, sets, intensity, rest periods and speed of movement. Medicine Ball Training provides excellent variety in movement patterns, speed of movement, functional eccentric loading and adds an excellent dimension to the programs of any personal trainer, athlete, athletic trainer and/or strength coach.
January 2020 – Each student will be issued access to the second online workshop, Anatomy/Medical Terminology and an Introduction to Reading Imaging Reports.

Refresh anatomy, and then study, at a much deeper level, the functional anatomy of the spine in preparation for CHEK Practitioner Level 2. On completion of CHEK Practitioner Level 2, many practitioners start to work alongside Doctors and Orthopaedic Consultants so knowing the medical terminology is essential.In order to work closely with other specialists or with your clients alone, you will have to understand key points from imaging reports such as X-Rays and MRI scans. We show students how to read reports and show common areas of interest in scans.

In this month students will also receive the correspondence course, Healing Fungal and Parasite Infections: The Absolute Essentials.
Presented by Paul Chek Manual, 4 DVDs (5 hours and 7 minutes) and test, this program describes Paul Chek’s holistic and comprehensive approach to overcoming problems caused by fungal and parasite infections. February 2020 – Each student will receive their next correspondence course, Swiss Ball Training.
Developed by Paul Chek, the pioneer of Swiss Ball training for athletes, this course will teach you how to use this excellent tool to improve balance, posture and dynamic strength, plus train righting and tilting reactions. Used in rehabilitation since the 1960’s, Swiss balls are now becoming popular in training environments. There are literally hundreds of uses beyond performing a crunch over the ball! However, as with any training tool correct usage is essential to achieve the results you are seeking.
Exam Deadline: The deadline for completion of Dynamic Medicine Ball Training is February 15th.
March 2020 – Each student will receive their copy of the Advanced Swiss Ball Training correspondence course via the e-learning platform. Students will also receive access to Working with Clients Remotely by Angie Chek.
This course shows you how to apply the science of biomechanics and kinesiology to advanced assessments and functional training techniques using the Swiss ball. Paul shows you how to use the Swiss Ball for rehabilitation and injury prevention. You will learn how to identify postural problems and instabilities using Swiss ball assessments. After completing the course, you will be able to develop these assessments into corrective exercises, with appropriate modifications for the condition and training level of your client.
Working with Clients Remotely review with Angie Chek will be scheduled for April 2020.
April 2020 – Students will attend the Golf online workshop.
The deadline for completion of the Swiss Ball Training Exam is the is April 15th.
May 2020 – Each student will be issued access to Lesson 1 of the CHEK 4 Quadrant Coaching Mastery Program.

August 2020 – Students will attend the CHEK Practitioner Level 2, 5 day Advanced Training Program on September 12, 2020 in California.
Learn how to identify red flags as a necessary system of preventing injury through exercise. CHEK Practitioner Level 2’s learn spinal biomechanics, neurological screening, essential orthopedic screening tests, length/tension assessments, corrective stretching, specific corrective exercise technologies, and how to refer to allied medical practitioners. Advanced level postural assessment using goniometric technology gives the CHEK Practitioner Level 2 the ability to design highly specific corrective exercise programs. The CHEK Practitioner Level 2 is an invaluable addition to any medical practice treating work, sports, and recreational orthopedic injuries. They are also key contributors to the professional sports medicine and conditioning teams.
CHEK Practitioner Level 2 Learning Objectives:
- Learn how to perform a goniometric assessment of posture and relevant joint range of motion.
- Learn to perform an effective screening of each individual, ruling out any red flags through careful examination of medical history, orthopedic assessment, and length/tension assessment.
- Learn specific corrective exercise for effective spinal or core stabilization.
- Learn to design corrective exercise programs.

September 2020 – Students will attend the CHEK Practitioner Level 2 Review live workshop in September 2020 in California.
CHEK Practitioner Level 2 Review Workshop
At the level of CHEK Practitioner Level 2, students may be working with highly complicated clients and, as we call, ‘Medical Failures’. For this reason, your skills using ALL your CHEK Advanced Training will be tested. On this 2-day workshop, we review all assessments from the CHEK Practitioner Level 2, including how to set up your assessment
sequence. We also demonstrate how both your Musculoskeletal and HLC assessment findings should be used to complete a specialised CHEK program that works, using all of your CHEK training.
We highly recommend you prepare a case study to bring to this review workshop to ensure you get the most out of the 2 days.
Case Study Requirement
Each case study should include results of a full CHEK Practitioner Level 2 assessment and client programs following assessment including periodisation.
At the end of Year 3 students will be invited to apply to join the Advanced CHEK Academy.
CHEK Licensing Program
The CHEK Licensing program is an essential component of being part of CHEK Institute, and ONLY Licensed practitioners may market themselves as a CHEK Trained Professional.
Being licensed also ensures potential new clients/patients seeking the services of a CHEK Professional can locate you through the ‘Find a Practitioner’ search engine on CHEK Connect.
Why does the CHEK Institute have a Licensing Program?
The purpose of the CHEK Institute Licensing Program is to ensure recognised CHEK Institute-Trained Professionals demonstrate a commitment to expand their knowledge and enhance their professional competency. For this reason, recognised CHEK Institute-trained Professionals are required to renew their Advanced Training every 12-months.
CHEK Institute Professionals – Joining the CHEK Academy
Students who have already completed any of the prerequisite correspondence courses or advanced training programs can still apply to join the academy. These individuals apply for a tailored made quote excluding the courses they have already completed.
How much does a Licence Cost?
Although there is a yearly fee for all CHEK Trained professionals, ALL CHEK Academy students are automatically renewed each year whilst currently part of the CHEK Academy AND their Licence fee is FREE-
CHEK Academy students receive a Complimentary Licence fee each year whilst part of the CHEK Academy.
There are 3 Licences to choose from
IPL: The Individual Professional License is for CHEK Professionals who do not have their own workspace such as corporate gyms, online coaching, in-home visits to clients. All students will receive this License upon completing a course.
PFL: The Professional Facility License is for CHEK Professionals who have their own facility (gym, studio, practice, etc.) The licensing fee covers the owner plus facility. Additional CHEK Practitioners working within the facility must also be licensed.
MPL: The Medical Professional License is an Individual License for CHEK Professionals who are also medically trained professionals.
Each student must apply and be accepted into the Academy.
